Getting to know the person you'll be working with.
I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed in New York State and the United Kingdom. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and parents, with a focus on anxiety, stress, self-esteem, body image issues, life transitions, and the emotional impact of long-term and chronic health conditions. I have extensive experience working with complex health conditions, specifically pediatric endocrinological conditions.
My clinical and research background includes working in world-leading hospitals in both countries, including Cambridge University Hospitals, Great Ormond Street Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital. Working across pediatric and medical settings has given me a robust understanding of how physical and emotional experiences influence one another, and how families navigate uncertainty and change.
My therapeutic style is warm, and collaborative. I take time to understand the context each person brings — including their background, family, and lived experience — and I aim to create a space that feels grounded, respectful, and easy to talk in. Having lived within different cultures myself, I bring openness and flexibility to the work, without assumptions about what someone “should” feel or how they “should” cope.
I draw on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness-based methods, and systemic and narrative frameworks. Sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable, balancing reflection with practical strategies that support day-to-day life.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
